Michael Pegram FVCM, ARCM

or, as told by Abbott and Costello

Costello: Well, then who's playing first?

Abbott: Yes.

Costello: I mean the fellow's name on first.

Abbott: Huw.

Costello: The fellow playin' first.

Abbott: Huw.

Costello: The guy on first.

Abbott: Huw is on first.

Costello: Well, what are you askin' me for?

Abbott: I'm not asking you--I'm telling you. Huw is on first.

Costello: I'm asking you--who's on first?

Abbott: That's the man's name.

Costello: That's who's name?

Abbott: Yes.

We are led by our Principal Clarinettist, the super-talented Huw Robinson.

Stolen by gypsies from his cradle, Huw was raised by wolves in the remote Swiss hamlet of Brule-Jambon.

He made his first clarinet at the age of four by whittling it out of the trunk of a pine tree which he felled with his bare teeth.  Dropping out from school because it was too easy, he ran away to join Billy Smart's Circus where he rode bareback on galloping horses.

After winning the Nobel Prize for Literature, for his 4,000 page epic novel "The Reed's Revenge", he settled down in a derelict submarine on the Thames and joined the Burnham Concert Band.  Little did he suspect what fate awaited him...
